Ray Berend, Consulting Partner

Serving as managing partner for more than 15 years, Ray Berend has been a visionary for the growth and expansion of PS&Co. Joining the firm in 1965, he has helped to guide PS&Co. from a small local accounting provider to one of largest independent accounting and business advisory firms in Texas.

Today Ray continues to work in collaboration with his team to build an organization dedicated to service. He is a general service partner of accounting and consulting services for many clients in the professional and medical services, wholesale and retail, petroleum products distribution and manufacturing sectors. He is also an advisor to the firm's executive committee.

Ray has a passion for community and currently serves as chairman of the North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce. He serves on the board of trustees for the United Way Legacy Foundation, as treasurer for the San Antonio Medical Foundation, on St. Mary's Business School Council of Executives, and as a San Antonio executive board member of the Boy Scouts of America.

The recipient of the North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce Overall Business Leader of the Year Award in 2002, Ray is also a past-president of Roy Mass' Youth Alternatives, Inc. and board member of the San Antonio Economic Development Foundation.

Ray is affiliated with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA) and the San Antonio Chapter of TSCPA.

Ray holds a Bachelor's of Business Studies from St. Mary's University, San Antonio and is a Certified Public Accountant.
