Mike O'Brien, Audit Partner

Mike O'Brien, an audit partner with PS&Co., has nearly 30 years of accounting experience, including 26 years with KPMG LLP, overseeing financial and compliance audit engagements for commercial, governmental and regulated entities. His primary specialty is with state and local governments, investment funds, public employee retirement systems, school districts and electric utilities.

Mike is actively involved in a number of associations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA) and the Austin Chapter of TSCPA. He also served as a board member for the Capitol Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America and as a Technical Standards Committee member for the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy. He is a past-president of the Northwest Travis County Municipal Utility District No. 1 and the current committee member of the Austin Area Boy Scout Troop 513 and Venture Crew 513.

Mike holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and is a Certified Public Accountant.
