The Empowerment Zone Tax Credit is available to businesses who operate, or have employees who work in a designated area or empowerment zone, within San Antonio. Since the designation of an empowerment zone, the federal government, along with state and local governments, has authorized tax savings, incentives, credits, and low-interest financing opportunities to qualified businesses operating within the zone.
