    1945 Sidney Padgett realizes his dream by opening an accounting services firm in downtown San Antonio.
    1958 Sidney Padgett, Jr. joins his father and the firm name changes to Padgett & Padgett, CPAs.  
    1967 Ray E. Berend joins the firm.  
    1969 Malcolm Stratemann merges with Padgett & Padgett. A new partnership is formed between Padgett, Stratemann and Berend. A new name is announced: Padgett, Stratemann, CPAs.  
    1969 Construction becomes the firm's first industry niche.  
    1970s Focusing on small businesses serving the booming economy, the firm grows from 7 to 19 professionals and support staff.   
    1970s The office relocates to new "hot spot", Northeast San Antonio.  
    1973 Padgett Sr. passes away and Malcolm Stratemann becomes Managing Partner.  
    1974 Padgett Jr. passes away and the firm changes it's name to Padgett, Stratemann & Co., L.L.P.  
    1980s PS&Co. expands its accounting services when new partners join the firm focusing on key growth sectors in the Texas economy: banking, medical practice, wholesale and manufacturing.  
    1992 Malcolm Stratemann retires and Ray Berend becomes Managing Partner.  
    1992 Acquisition of the San Antonio Grant Thornton International office strengthens the governmental service niche.  
    1995 PS&Co. begins a strategic alliance with the RSM McGladrey Network. The network provides invaluable access to resources as one of the nation's largest accounting, tax and consulting firms. In addition, the alliance provides access to RSM International, offering the firm valuable resources world-wide.  
    1995 PS&Co. is ranked as the 2nd largest firm in the San Antonio marketplace.  
    2001 Due to expansion and growth, the firm moves offices to its current location in North Central San Antonio.  
    2005 Voted "One of the Best Places to Work" by team members.  
    2006 Once again, PS&Co. is voted "One of the Best Places to Work" by team members.  
    2007 The accounting firm is awarded the "Business Ethics Award" by the Ecumenical Center for Religion and Health, in collaboration with the UTSA College of Business and the San Antonio Business Journal.  
    2007 PS&Co. moves in to the Austin marketplace by merging with Sprouse & Anderson, an established Austin-based accounting services firm. The merger solidifies PS&Co.'s place as one of the largest regional firms within Texas with over 120 team members.  
    2008 Both the San Antonio and Austin offices are voted "Best Places to Work" by team members.  
    2008 PS&Co. is listed as the 6th largest Southwest Accounting firm in a survey conducted by Practical Accountant magazine.  
    2008 John Wright becomes new Managing Partner.  
    2009 The San Antonio and Austin offices are voted "Best Places to Work" by team members.  
    2011 The San Antonio Office is voted one of the City's Best Places to Work.
