Summary of Responsibilities:
1. Prepare average to complex tax returns in various niche areas
2. Continue to develop tax knowledge in the areas of individual,
partnership, S corporation, and C corporation taxation
3. Have minimal client contact
4. Ability to interpret client financial information, prepare appropriate
adjustments, and use the information for tax return preparation.
5. Ability to take client financial information in an electronic
format, manipulate using appropriate software (audit software, Excel,
Quickbooks)
6. Be proficient at tax research and tax-related programs. Ability
to complete higher level research questions and scenarios.
7. Review simple tax returns and be familiar with interpreting client
information
8. Have general knowledge of audit-related programs and tax accruals
9. Assist audit department with audit engagements, as needed
10. Begin involvement in tax department and firm-related administrative
duties
11. Progress toward passing the Certified Public Accountant examination
12. Have proficient Word and Excel skills to prepare necessary tax
workpapers, memos, letters, etc.
13. Assist with new hire training and provide support to entry level
on general tax issues and tax programs
