Audit Staff Accountant

Summary of Responsibilities:

Entry level positions are available to recent college graduates or others with the appropriate academic background who wish to pursue a career in public accounting.

Under the supervision of senior accountants to managers, entry level professionals perform a variety of basic audit and accounting tasks utilizing clients’ records. They generally receive job assignments in most or all of the industry niches the Firm serves. Performance is judged on accuracy and efficiency in performing the tasks. Engagement responsibility is increased based upon performance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting, with generally a 3.3 or higher GPA. Special consideration may be given to previous work experience if GPA is less than 3.3.

Hold a current and valid Certified Public Accountant’s license or be working towards obtaining the license by taking and passing the applicable state CPA exam.
